The Officially Licensed Marine Corps Logbook Fine Leather Field Notes Moleskine Wallet Pocketbook Cover

In the spirit of adventure embodied by the Age of Sail, we have crafted our logbook to hold everything you need as you face the broad horizon.

The logbook has long been the record book of any sailing ship. However, the origins of the name run much deeper. A key measurement when sailing is the speed of the ship.  To calculate speed, knots were tied at intervals along a rope. When the rope was thrown off the stern of a ship, sailors would count the number of knots passing through their hands in thirty seconds. To ensure that the rope would hold fast in the water as the ship moved forward, a wooden log was tied to the end. The book used to record these measurements was, therefore called the ‘Log-book’.

Our Logbook combines the centuries-old necessity to record information while providing all the modern convenience of keeping your cards and cash together.
